We are thrilled to have two alums of the 2016-2017 Revive The Dream cohort co-leading this year’s program – Nikki Carroll and Henry Wellington. Their experience, smarts and humor are sure to create a great experience for our fellows! You can learn more about Nikki and Henry below.
Nikki Carroll is currently a lead credit analyst at Moody’s Investors Service on the local government team. In this capacity, she does quantitative and qualitative analysis to assess to credit risk of cities, counties, school districts and utilities across the country. Prior to that, at Newark Public Schools, she worked on the strategic allocation of the $800 million budget using a weighted student funding model, overhauling the central office budgeting process, and forecasting and evaluating the financial impact of district wide initiatives. Nikki holds an M.B.A from NYU’s Stern School of Business and holds a B.S in Finance from Morgan State University. She is very interested in education measures that close the achievement gap and level education inequality.
Henry Wellington founded Upbeat – an organization that specializes in data analytics to enhance school leaders’ approach to teacher retention. Before starting Upbeat, he supported the implementation of blended learning and evaluation of education technology products for Citizen Schools. Previously, Henry worked with education technology companies to boost their sales and marketing efforts while at Whiteboard Advisors. Henry’s classroom experience includes teaching middle school Special Education first in Washington Heights at a district school, MS 322, and then at a charter school, Harlem Village Academies, where he still coaches basketball. Henry started his career working on the Obama Campaign outside of Fayetteville, North Carolina in 2008.
